I just don't know how to tell a script that the numeric values of the folder names can be translated into a date object, and then how to compare that date object against my conditions. ![]() I thought that by somehow extracting the YEAR MONTH and DAY from the folder names and put into a date object format, have that date object compared against the current date, and if the compared date is older than then move those objects to thier respective place on desitnation archive, with intact file structure/tree. Month (named the month, ie, 10, 11, 12, etc.)ĭay (named the day, ie 01, 02, 03, etc.)Ĭustomer1 (named for our customers/clients, all the way down to the Nth customer) SourceFolder1 (named based on one of our business sectors) Ideas how to check by our date based file structure. The script takes FOREVER to run! At least a week! There has got to be a way to make the script run faster!
